Encryption
All data transmitted is encrypted using TLS. Data at rest is encrypted in our database.

Only you can access your drafts. Team features respect role-based permissions.

Anonymous Publishing
When you publish anonymously, your essay appears under a randomly generated alias. While your identity is hidden from readers, we retain the connection to your account for moderation purposes and so you can manage your anonymous content. We will never publicly reveal the author of an anonymous essay unless required by law.
Your Rights
- Access: Export all your data at any time from your dashboard
- Correction: Update your information in account settings
- Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data
- Portability: Export essays in Markdown, HTML, or JSON formats
- Objection: Contact us to object to specific data processing
Data Retention
- Active account data is retained while your account exists
- Deleted essays are removed within 30 days
- Account deletion removes all data within 30 days
- Aggregated, anonymized analytics may be retained indefinitely
